The phrase ‘eyes bigger than your belly’ is one we can almost all relate to – but there’s one particular Bristolian who surely has no idea what the rest of us mean when we complain of eating a little bit too much.

It takes a brave man to master a challenge featuring a burger that’s an amazing 11 INCHES tall, but that’s where the incredible Lee vs Food comes in.

Lee is on a mission to conquer all of Bristol’s filthiest food challenges, after first nailing Atomic Burger’s Fallout Challenge back in September. His mission led him last night to the newly-opened Voodoo Q smokehouse, on Gloucester Road, where he took on the seemingly-insurmountable High Priest burger challenge.

The impressive burger in all its glory

The High Priest is 11 inches high and comes with its own bottle of chilli sauce and celebratory T-shirt. It’s stacked with four 8oz burger patties, along with cheese, chilli, pork and brisket.

If you thought that gargantuan burger was enough of a challenge, though, you’d be wrong. It also comes with a PINT of chips, along with pickles and coleslaw, and it costs £30.

Lee vs Food took on the ridiculous challenge yesterday evening – and against all the odds, he won.

Lee tucking into the enormous burger

He was the first person to ever conquer the challenge, after numerous people tried at Voodoo Q’s first restaurant in Cirencester, and he was also the first person to take it on at Gloucester Road.

He said: “Well, that was a challenge but I did it – Lee 1 – 0 The Priest.

“I just want to say how great this place is. It has really unique decor, Alex and the team are fantastic and the food was exceptional. I’d urge anyone to go and check it out.”
