This is the bizarre moment a man headbutts a car as he appears to row with a woman.

CCTV shows the well-built man lashing out at vehicles and kicking the rear window of a black Mercedes on a quiet street in Woodley, Stockport.

Police received reports that five cars were damaged on Bridge Avenue early on Sunday morning.

Kayleigh Ghent, whose CCTV cameras captured the headbutting incident, said a man appeared to be arguing with a woman as the pair walked down the street.

A Citroen, a Mercedes, two Nissans and a Volkswagen Golf were then reportedly damaged before a man was seen walking off towards Mill Lane recreation ground.

Kayleigh, whose Nissan Pathfinder was one of the five cars damaged, said: “He came on the street and he was arguing with a girl and then just started blasting all these cars. I heard all the shouting so I went to the window and he was walking down the street screaming in the woman’s face.

“I’ve got cameras all over my property so I shouted out of the window that I’d got him on film and that I was calling the police.”

Police are investigating reports that five cars were damaged and the CCTV footage is being handed to officers in the case.

A GMP spokesman confirmed: “Officers were called to Bridge Avenue at about 12.05pm on Sunday to reports five cars had been damaged at about 6.30am that day. The suspect is described as a white man, with red hair and a muscular build. He was wearing a grey North Face t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms and trainers. He fled the scene.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 986 of August 6.
