ROCHESTER — The enduring family musical “Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” will be staged Aug. 25 to 27 at the Rochester Borough Theater.
Model Theatre Troupe, a traveling theater group that entertains throughout western Pennsylvania, will perform the show.
“Our theater troupe is founded on family and so is this first production at this location,” director Carrie Jackson of Chippewa Township, said. “We began over five years ago and this will be our largest production to date.”
The cast features Frantzi Exantus (Joseph) from Slippery Rock, Jackson as narrator, Dominic Mastroianni (Potiphar) of Cranberry Township and New York-based/Cranberry native Michael John Lewis (Pharaoh).
“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” musically tells the biblical story of Joseph, and his trials and triumphs. Popular songs include “Go Go Go Joseph,” “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.”
Tickets are $10 for students and seniors and $15 for adults.
Model Theatre Troupe performed at last year’s Festival of Trees in Bradys Run Park, and also has entertained at Cook Forest Sawmill Center for The Arts, and at theaters in Cranberry, Zelienople and Pittsburgh’s North Hills.
