We have had a brilliant week here at the Baron Palace. We were greeted warmly on arrival and received a cold towel and drink as we checked in. We were promptly taken to our room by one of the guest service employees and shown where the fridge, safe and other things were in our room. We had a huge room with a sofa, chair and king sized bed. The bed is very comfortable and you have a choice of pillows which we were glad of and ordered 2 of the firmer ones for our use the next day. The toiletries are very good and have a lovely scent to them.

We arrived at 945pm and asked about eating. We were told to use the main restaurant but told it closes at 10pm we got there at about 2 minutes to 10 and still were able to eat. I’m not sure what would have happened if we had been any later as we were told by a restaurant manger that it closed at 10.

We met with Rahul at the spa and he made up our own bespoke package of treatments. We were honest with what we could afford and he met us in the middle. The 2 of us had 2 Turkish bath treatments, Indian massages, anti stress massages and reflexology during our visit. They were all excellent and we had great service from Amr at the reception desk and Omar and the other ladies in the spa. We really enjoyed our treatments over the 5 visits there we had.

The food here is excellent. We have had some fantastic meals here and dined in a different restaurant nearly every night. Although when we ordered an enhancement, we were not told that it would be an extra charge. We were shocked when we were presented with a bill for over a 1000 EGP. When I enquired about this with the infinity restaurant manager he said that we had asked if we could have them so thought we knew there would be an extra charge. We did not. I am writing this review whilst I am here and this may get sorted out. I will let you know. Just wanted to warn people about that.

Pool area has been brilliant. Service from all staff has been excellent. Big sun beds and loved the quiet of the adults only area. We have order our drinks every day and they have been brought to us at our lounges.

A tip if you choose to be in the adults only pool you do not get any of the reps coming to sell you trips or the animation team trying to get you to join in with the games. So choose your area according to your preference.

Another tip or point is that in certain bars you get a different choice of drinks that are included in the all inclusive. In the lobby for example, you could get Martini but you couldn’t get that in another bars even though the menu is the same in all of them.

We also took a trip to swim with the dolphins. We booked this with our tour operator and not via the people round the pool. The same trip would have cost £75 via them, were as it cost us £60. So haggle or book with your holiday rep.

Use your laundry voucher. It was amazing and all the clothes came back sealed, ironed and smelly great!

Finally to sum up. Great facilities, food and service. Would I come back? Absolutely!
